Someday, Episode #5: Dr. Thomas Carr, Paleontologist

Welcome to Someday, our newest segment on the blog. We’ve been having so much fun interviewing local entrepreneurs, we’re adding a whole new adventure to the mix. We’ve recently started talking to interesting people from around the world to learn about all the different ways to make a living. In the upcoming months, we’ll learn: How to become a Pastry Chef, the best thing about being an Artist and the most challenging thing about being a Racecar Driver. We call it Someday because one day our kids may elect to pursue a career in one of these fields.
In this episode, we sat down with Dr. Thomas Carr. Dr. Carr is a Paleontologist and an Associate Professor of Biology at Carthage College. He is also a Senior Scientific Advisor at Dinosaur Discovery Museum and a Director at the Carthage Institute of Paleontology. As Dr. Carr mentions in the interview, he became interested in dinosaurs as a 2yo and was able to participate in his first dinosaur dig at the age of 18. He’s even had the great fortune of finding the forehead bone of a baby T. Rex. You can learn more about Dr. Carr and his interests below. We hope you enjoy!
