When we first kicked off this journey, I wrote:
I’ve started a little family project so we can have some fun and use more of our creativity. Over the last several months I’ve been thinking about a few entrepreneurial projects and the kids and I have decided to give them a try. I’m not exactly sure where this journey will take us, but I’d like to share it with you.
At that time, I had really only thought of one or two projects. Over the last several weeks, however, I’ve been compiling a list and I’d like to share it with you. We’re calling it our AdVentures Bucket List and I thought if I put it out there for others to see, the law of attraction might come into play (yep, just did that…linked to Oprah.com).
Taco Wagon – coming in June – COMPLETE
Cupcakes – inspired by the Cake Boss – COMPLETE
Homemade Ice Cream – inspired by Amy’s Ice Creams
Children’s Book – inspired by Shel Silverstein
Kid’s Energy Bar – COMPLETE
Girl’s Handbag – what girl doesn’t dream of having her own line of handbags?
Kid’s T-Shirt – selling t-shirts is a right of passage for any entrepreneur
Just putting the list in writing gets me excited. What a fun way to introduce the kids to a bunch of different ways to make (or lose) money. Not only that, but we’ll get to create some more items from scratch and do a whole lotta learning along the way.
What other AdVentures should we consider? Do you know anything about making girl’s handbags? Is this going to be fun or what?
What about making t-shirts around Thanksgiving and giving some of the profits to a local food shelf? Love the handbag idea!
Another great idea! Thanks for the suggestions. The fun has just begun…
