Austin From Scratch: An Interview with Taylor “Thunder”, Co-Founder of Thunderbird Energetica

Austin From Scratch is our favorite series on the blog and involves Owen (age 6) and Malia (age 4) interviewing local entrepreneurs who have created a thriving business here in the heart of Texas.  For this session, we sat down with Taylor and Katie Thunder, Co-Founders of Thunderbird Energetica.  We selected Thunderbird, a creator of “epic tasting whole food energy bars,” after sampling their products at a local Whole Founds and learning they were produced in our own backyard here in Austin, TX.  (If you haven’t tried them yet, stop what you’re doing and head to Whole Foods or pick up a sample pack here.  Trust me.) Youngpreneur: Carter Kostler

Welcome to our newest series on the blog, Youngpreneurs, where we’ll feature stories about young entrepreneurs from across the U.S.  In our first episode, we connected with Carter Kostler, founder of the Define Bottle.  Inspired by the potential to have a positive affect on obesity and type 2 diabetes, the Define Bottle provides a great way to enjoy fresh-fruit-infused-water.  And being that obesity is reaching epidemic levels in our own backyards, this 14-year-old may be onto something big!
